I'm pretty sure you have noticed, we, being really close friends and all and you know even the most embarassing stories about me but just in case it escaped you, I know it's my responsibility to let you know that I have already updated the Tutorials and Recipe Index pages above. I particularly loved how the Tutorials page turned out, you just need to click on the images and it will transport you to Narnia.... kidding... I mean it will transport you to the tutorial itself. Plus, I arranged it based on themes or topics so you'd easily locate the tutorial you want.As for the Recipe Index, I listed the links to all the recipes on the blog. Hope these will help you when trying to find recipes here in Bake Happy :)
Speaking of recipes, here's one that's been constantly requested. Today's your lucky day because I'm sharing them through this post! This recipe is my go to recipe if I want to make decorated sugar cookies.
This is the first of two parts, next one is baking the sugar cookies.
Sugar Cookie Recipe
adapted from Peggy Porschen's Simply Spectacular Cakes
What we need:
100g sugar (granulated)
100g icing sugar
(1) In a bowl, mix together the two sugars and egg until well combined.
(2) Add the flour.
(3) Add the shortening and butter.
(4) Mix it until texture becomes crumb-like.
(5) Knead the dough for a minute or two
(6) Before wrapping it up in a cling wrap and refrigerate overnight.
